This game gets a bit of a bad rep, IMO. I think it's biggest problem was that someone from Konami deciding that the original game (Mad City) was too easy. If not for the spike into borderline unfair difficulty for the North American release, this could have been a really great game.
That distinctive 8-bit Konami music certainly being a highlight of the game either way.
