Jade Plays: Mother (part 1)

Mother, otherwise known as Earthbound or Earthbound Zero (to differentiate it from the SNES game). It was released in Japan in 1989 and it was fully translated with the intention of being released in North America. For whatever reason, Nintendo pulled the plug at the last minute. Even to this day, it has never seen an official international release, even in the day of Virtual Console and whatnot; and the fact that it saw a rerelease on the GBA, paired with Earthbound/Mother 2, but once again they only released it in Japan. Thankfully, a beta cartridge of the English version was leaked, which is what most roms and reproduction cartridges are based on.
